    Vintage Doxa BOR bracelet?

I have just purchased a very rare Breitling Professional 300T Quartz dive type watch from around 1983. There appear to be many similarities to the Doxa's of that era and I'm wondering if the bracelet could have originated from the same supplier as the Doxa BOR bracelet. My main interest is because the bracelet is much too short for my 8" wrist and I'd like to find spare links if available. The end links of the bracelet are marked 028029-1 and it says Expandro, stainless steel, made in W-Germany, DB Pat 2111820. Not sure if this is an aftermarket bracelet similar to the Doxa BOR or made by the same company. Any thoughts appreciated.

What an interesting watch. Would any of you guys who are more familiar with the vintage SUBs happen to know anything about this one?

Wow, that watch does strongly resemble a Doxa sub! I hope someone can shed some light on that one. Cheers, Bill P.

The Expandro Pat No. is identical to the bracelet on my Aubry era Doxa Spirotechnique. The only differences I can see are the end pieces, mine are straight, and my clasp reads 'DOXA'.

Unless things have changed, finding links will be a bit of a quest. DOXA did not have any parts available accept for replacement crystals when I contacted them about my Spiro. Searching for a carcass/doner bracelet is tough. Buying an aftermarket mesh bracelet might be considerably easier. Just a thought.

That is a very cool Breitling. Very uncharacteristic of what they are known to typically produce.

Thanks for the responses! I found an interesting .pdf file that pretty much answers my question. I didn't know about the ratheting mechanism but with even that deployed all the way out it's still too small for my 8" wrist. Guess I'll just have to find a donor bracelet for a couple of links or change to a strap.

Fantastic vintage Breitling you have there, I'm not sure but I think Granitequarry still has one on those ?

I've only seen 2 of these. One had the same bracelet as yours, perhaps with a narrower clasp, but there was another had one that was marked with the Breitling "B", you can see it on this link ....

Love to see Doxa reissue a quartz (and/or an auto) model like this again! Great looking piece!

Your 600T Spirotechnique really looks like it has a Squale case!
