In that case...do they have no plans to produce any more large watches? If and when I buy another Doxa, it needs to be big, so that I can read the time easily. Why does Doxa suffer from such an inability to communicate better with the mass of Doxa enthusiasts who support it, financially? The email, above, gives the impression that they aren't making any more dive watches of any size. That may not actually be the case, but that's the way it comes across. Think about it: The 5000T has come and gone, and now, so has the 1500T. I assume that the 1200T (Yes, I realize it is smaller) is also a limited run.
If I ever win the lotto, I'm going to buy the company, and let you guys order whatever Sub you want, whatever way you want it.

Well that's unfortunate. But never say never where Doxa is concerned. There had been no plans for a classic faced 5000, but the interest was sufficient for them to make the 1500. I think after Doxa got so much heat about the slow reveal process they used in the past, they play their cards pretty close to the vest these days. If they aren't making any more 1500s, maybe it's because they have something else coming down the pike. They always do.

Threads like these are important because they let Doxa know what its fans want. And while I haven't always agreed with Doxa's methods of marketing, I can never accuse them of not being attentive to its customers', even if it is in a sometimes ponderous way.

They've had a history of reissues both large and "small"*. Whichever size was currently available, some always would lament the lack of the other size. The current issue is of course the 4000T, and while it is a move forward in design, it won't satisfy all of the lovers of the classic DOXA in a large size. I feel safe in saying we've not seen the last of the larger, classic style of DOXA SUB. It is probably just a matter of time, something will most likely come out sooner or later that addresses the desire for a large SUB that resembles the original in many ways.

*Small, being relative to the larger ones, the 1200T, 1000T and 600T are actually not "small" at all, just so when compared to their larger brethren. Wearing my 1200T Pro DWL today!
    Regards, T Bone.

I've heard all of the arguments regarding the modern bracelet with ratcheting clasp vs the beads of rice bracelet and I've worn both. I still prefer the beads of rice, especially with how it looks. I think if Doxa reissues the 1500t (which I think they will with different dial colors) it would be a mistake to not offer both bracelets (which I don't think they will do) I think Doxa feels that the 1200t with it's vintage look and BOR is enough homage to the past and is trying to distance itself from that look with their larger models.

I had chosen the 1500T due to size and clarity of dial. I prefer BOR for looks if not comfort and was consoling myself that the ratcheting clasp is pretty cool and will be useful to me (my wrist varies greatly throughout the day). I think I am taking this as a "sign" and going back to the 1200T although I'm still concerned about the smaller size. I've read everything I can find and realize it's a common concern, but I am used to larger watches, even on my 7-7.25" wrist.

If it had the BOR it would be on my wrist as I type...I don't understand the rationale of releasing a classic Doxa design and leaving out this classic element.

That was no doubt a matter of convenience. They used essentially the entire 5000T platform, and simply a different dial and hands.

Well, then they truly need to hire a PR guy who knows how to release enough info to keep us happy with the knoweldge that they are working on new product, without giving away their secret plans.

I want to love, but the un-centered, cheap looking, date wheel KILLS it. Like they got it from a seagull line of defective parts.
