Who Wants to Design Your Own LE Sinn?

I do thank SMSgt Bo for taking this on. I think what is likely to happen is that everyone would want something a little bit different. Hopefully, people will all be willing to compromise so that we can get the project off the ground.

For example, I do agree with Janne that I would prefer the U2 style face and hands with the crown moved to the 10pm position, however, if that is not the consensus or it that puts the cost out of the reach of too many, I am more than willing to live with U1 hands and the standard 4pm position.

For me the only reason for making it look a bit more exotic than a base U1 is that I already have one of those, however, I really like the idea of an all lumed dial Sinn

I think you'll probably see some momentum build for this project after Baselworld...that, or you’ll see it crash and burn. :oops:

Hopefully by then we’ll have the required support needed to seriously kick off this project as well as some solid parameters for us to work within. Up until then this thread is only a wish list.

From a practical standpoint I think the closer to a current Sinn model we agree on would be the most economical way to go. Of course on the other end of the spectrum, the sky’s the limit if everyone is willing to pay the premium.

I understand the "Lego" issue & thought the same initially. Then I came into possession of a U1 and I loved it. But, I know that the looks of a watch are personal to each owner. I have had watches that others rave about but when I had one on my wrist it just didn't "speak to me" and I ended up flipping it. I also love the EZM3! Never had one, but I did have a EZM2 with the black bezel. I hope we can make it happen, I would love to own a Sinn LE lume dial!

I had the same experience with the U-1. IRL, it works very well.

Having both the EZM-2 and the EZM-3, and even though I'm a fan of mechanical watches, I'd say stick with the EZM-2 with black bezel. It's a much better watch in every way.

Black hands, black dial indices, lume dial - all would make for a super LE. If crown at 9 is possible, even better

Another thing: I think we should alert the other Sinn Forums (Spanish, German) about this project. We do not want to end up like the A-11 Project.

What happened with the A-11 project? I wasn't following its progress.

Just to keep everyone updated; I have an appointment with Sinns' Marketing Director and Mr. Ernie Romers at Baselworld this coming Saturday. Hopefully we'll receive some good news and firm direction on how to proceed with this project of ours. I'll let you all know how the meeting goes on Sunday.

I would love to see an ETA-2824, non-gmt version of the U2. Make the Sinn logo along with all the dial text red and use a red on black date wheel and it would be pure perfection.

It would be sort of a cross between a U1 and an EZM3.
