    Bezel Replacement

    Hello,

I see a Kobold LSD bezel on eBay and wanted to know how easy/difficult would this be to replace? I assume someone knowledgeable would be able to do this, but I certainly would not. I have also contacted Dale about sending mine in and may go that route.

Simple, grasp the bezel firmly, lock your wrist and twist, the bezel will pop right off. The lsd and seal bezels are pretty easy to get off and on.

Have you done this before? Twist in what direction? It sounds scary to me, but I am interested.

I've done this many times, maybe 50 or so, mostly with a seal or a soarway or the lsd. Twist/pull the bezel up and away from the watch, it should pop right off.
To reassemble, just place the bezel back down onto the watchhead and firmly press on it, it will snap back on.

ummmmm DW, in all fairness, it is not that easy.

I use the small thin blade of a Swiss Army knife and very carefully wedge it under the bezel lip at one of the lugs and use the solid backing of the lug to gently pop it off. Personally, I have never been able to tear it off with just my hands and wrist.

As for putting it back on. You have a huge issue with making sure the outer bezel spring is correctly lined up in two tiny holes, and seated in those holes. Should the outer bezel spring slip out of those holes, the bezel may pop on, but it wont click or stay put. So in my experience it has taken a bit more deliberation and careful process then twisting off and popping back on. And I've done it at least 50 times as well...probably more.

    Love, MamaSeal

    God Bless, Liz

Well, it's always been simple for me to pop off: bezels like the Sub or SD take a knife to pop loose but the Seal has always been easy for me, but I have not had the hand issues that you did. The key is to lock the wrist, so you can use your arm as the fulcrum.
And the click ring does need to be in the proper position, yes, but not a huge issue for me.

well it was easy to get off and now I'm having the issue where the click ring seems to be in the right position but it's not working. I'm not sure what to do.
