    buying a watch over seas?

I have found a watch for sale in here. The seller is a sponsor here and seems legit. The thing thats bugging me is they dont take credit cards. Just money transfer . Is that normal? I like the backing of a credit crdcompany if things go south. Any tips or suggestions? thanks sj

    gsteve,
You probably already know that credit card transactions are insured. If you did have a problem with
a credit card payment, you would recover your money (eventually).

For that reason, unless you are very sure of the credentials of the seller, I would suggest avoiding money transfers.

    regards,
    George

Yea that's why I'd feel better with a cc. But they insist the only use cc in store. It's jambor jewelers. Thier website is on the main home page here.

Perhaps they are worried about credit card fraud. I would ask if the individual
or the store is selling the watch. You might ask if he will take Paypal.

    Thanks,

Just received a new Tutima 677-01 from an AD
    Used eBay CC via PP
    Two weeks delivery
No taxes on either side ( nice ) Price was below most current asking on WUS delivered. Exchange rate is good for us now.
Checked and same for Stowa. Why bother with used when deals are good, and sellers are members or advertisers. I used Chrono24 as they support this forum. Was able to negotiate.. and they came in below what I offered.
No kidding. Amazing watch, very happy
    unboxing yesterday

Well it's been a hassle so far. The transfer messed up once. Now Spain customer has delayed it twice because of the croc strap!!! Supposedly it's clear now. Good grief I didn't even want the croc strap it has.
