    iwc aquatimer

    IWC aquatimer
so i earlier posted about the corum watch which i am tempted by, however my eyes have been drawn to the aquatimer, and more specifically the galapagos edition. not sure why something about it!
    it hits my specifications that im wanting atm;
    rubber strap (!)
    nice complications
not as common a brand as rolex tag omega etc
im sure most people here have seen the watch before but in case you havent

    there it is
    has anybody got one?
i have sourced one for £4200, now pricing my breitling gives me about £3.5k to spend, plus i may have just hit a job promotion so could stretch out a reward for myself.
    any opinions?
    i am now torn....

    this is

no doubt you should go for the galapagos. Truly a handsome watch. You are animal friendly and conservationist, right?

I dont know much about Breitling, hence IWC is the way to go.

Congrats upfront on your job promotion.

    cheers

It being a Galapagos, you'd think it'd come with iguana skin strap and tortoise shell dial?!?

Seriously, it's a nice lookin' watch. I've got the white dial 2K, but that one makes me think twice.

Lol! I can see the greens protests now LoL. My dad actually has a tortus shell in his backyard. It's kind of illegal here. No he didnt kill a turtle, when he was walking on the beach he found an already dead and decomposing tortus. My dads like that, he once tried to make his own snakeskin hatband when I was very young. I think the hat needed to be thrown out. Although it was the only time I ever ate snake for dinner. My dad loves animals, I remember he kept missing when his friend asked him to shoot an emu. Later on he told me he missed on purpose (oh, and if they did shoot the emu, they were planning to eat it, not just shoot it for fun). As a young kid, I was disappointed he missed.

This Galapagos and the new Cousteau both are stunning! I really wish IWC was able to make the water resistancy on their dive chronos a bit deeper than 120m though. Aside from that, a truly gorgeous diver chronograph.
