    Thumbs Up Probus Scafusia...

I have always admired IWC no nonsense engineering. The pre-richemont models are very understated IMHO ....

I am really proud to call this watch my own. I have been long waiting to buy this watch but never found the perfect opportunity. Then I found this NOS unworn example that was bought new from IWC AD end 2011! It has never been sized or worn and I took off the caseback sticker myself. I am sure this watch will be with me for a very long time ....

The cal 37524, based on the ETA2892 (itself based on suggestions from IWC technical director at that time) is no slouch. It keeps time to +3 seconds/day (never opened or serviced) and winds like butter.....

Even our one eyed cat loves it...she was found as a few days old kitten injured in the street ...she's a real sweetheart...

Our shih tzu managed to get it off her paws in the end though ...

I hope you like it ....
    Cheers from Malta, Etienne

I'm amazed you could find one in NOS condition. This IWC is a keeper for sure. Congrats!

Great find. I love mine as well (I just wore it on Friday).

I see that your watch has the "T Swiss T" dial. Don't be surprised if the hands age to a different patina than some of the markers. At least some (if not all) of the tritium dialed watches used a mix of tritium and luminova. It's up for debate which version is more desirable, but in any case it's something you should know.

Thanks for advice. I have read much on the technicalities of this watch ...I also have a freakin' large book (IWC-Engineering Time) which I am really enjoy reading...

What I find a bit strange that the 12 o'clock marker is 'aged' more than the hands. I also believe that the hands and 12 o'clock marker are a mixture of SL & Tritium as they still glow brighter when charged by UV light. Has anyone else noticed this?

    Thanks all for kind comments!

What I like most about this watch is it's simplicity....the handset is the nicest on any watch I've had!

Great find indeed and I do like it. Congratulations.

Must say, though, that you managed to confuse me .... NOS .... bought new late 2011 .... what year was this watch built?

And to stay with the title of your thread:

Watch came to me NOS as in unworn. The first owner bought it new late 2011 from IWC AD, along with a 3536-003...and stored them safely in a safe!

It was produced around the year 2000 ...

I bet that white dialed model would bring a huge amount on the secondary market. It's one of the rarest Refs of the last 15 years.

Great find! The 3536 is a real classic. Wear it in good health!

I have found a source for ETA-28XX compatible destro dials (9 o'clock crown, 3 o'clock window). If you're curious of the source feel free to send me a PM.
