The pilot range is within your budget: mark 16 or the earlier pilot chrono 3706

How about IWC aquatimer? It's such a cool watch.

To be honest, IWC price now going up and up. I'm afraid with your budget you can't get a new watch. Its best to search on the forums for used one, typicallly Pilot Mark XV/XVI, Aquatimer 3568/3536 (second generation, not the newest). They are sweet watches for casual or sport activities. For the dress watch you can get a Portofino, but IMHO i don't like the styling.

    Best Luck !

With a $3000 budget, I wouldn't get consider an IWC. A few years ago, you could get a Mark for around 3000. I would take a look at Bell&Ross. I believe they share the same movement anyway
    Collection:
    Rolex Submariner 116610LN
    IWC Portuguese Automatic IW500107

A nice pre-owned Mark Pilot watch.

This is true to the same extent that a BMW M3 has the same engine as a 328i (that is to say, not accurate).

B&R is a fashion brand that is already falling by the wayside. IWC is a proper watch house.

You'll easily get a used 3706 spitfire in your price range. The 3706-23 is similar to the newer 3717... and is astounding value for money. Look on ebay.
