    Accuracy issue and a question...

I got my Khaki Field Auto in February and love it. For the most part it is quite accurate. It generally loses a couple of seconds during the day and if placed face down at night, seems to gain them back. Then....and this is the issue, after a month of fairly consistent behavior, it will suddenly lose 20-30 seconds a day for three or four days. There is nothing in my daily routine which seems to bring this on. Can it be that the date complication mechanism creates the problem, or..... the automatic winding mechanism is not sufficiently winding the mainspring and it has little reserve left by that time of the month? If such a thing were possible....or some other reason?

    Troubleshooting ideas welcome!

Took it in to my AD yesterday and they checked it out and said there was no reason they could think of which would explain this behavior. So they offered to send it into Hamilton service. I'll probably do that but wait a couple of months.

Well, that really sucks. Nothing worse than having it looked at and NOT getting an answer. I wonder if the spring is getting caught in its barrel somehow? That would be an intermittent issue that would cause it to lose time I would think...

Hopefully they can get it all sorted out quickly.
