    Broken Jazzmaster Viewmatic

Had my Jazzmaster Viewmatic since February 2011. Purchased brand new, I love the watch. I was heartbroken when I was simply winding it tuesday morning (8/9/11) and I felt the crown just start spinning, I knew it was broken. It pulled right out. I just mailed it off for repair Friday morning to the New Jersey service center. For $600 I was expecting more after 6 months, but maybe I was naive. Hope it comes back working. I honestly just wish I could have the money back at this point.

Sorry to hear that has happened to you, one rarely hears things like these happening to a Hamilton, is it under warranty?

I am sure it will be an easy repair and hopefully you will be able to enjoy it soon, I share the same feeling with you though, considering how much you paid for it, however this is the sort of thing that could happen to anyone. Still, not common with Hamiltons

    Re: Broken Jazzmaster Viewmatic

Hopefully it will be fixed soon, yes it is under warranty. It arrived at the New Jersey service area today, waiting for a call or email from them to let me know how they are going to proceed. I won't be in a hurry to go buy another expensive watch, I'll go back to my Timex's where it doesn't hurt so bad when they break.
