Hamilton Khaki Air Race: Appropriate for jogging/the gym?

    Hi all

I'm a considering buying the used Hamilton Khaki Air Race listed in the sales corner. My original intention was to use it in casual settings and also when I go jogging and possibly to the gym.

My friend says that this is a bad idea as I'd overwind the watch with my movements. Any thoughts?

Buy with confidence. The Khaki Air Race uses the ETA 2893 movement, which is a standard for most automatic GMT watches. That movement has built in overwind protection, so you can't damage it buy overwinding either by hand or by wearing it too much.

My personal note: Even the best automatic watches can be sensitive to shock. Odds are good that you can use it at the gym or running and never have an issue, but personally I would buy a digital watch of some kind to wear for those activities. It would just be too easy for me to do something strange and drop my automatic.

    Hope that helps!

I agree. An automatic may not withstand some shocks as a digital would.
