    How are Hamilton's bracelets?

I'm kicking around another watch since my Tissot is dead. There's several pieces on the list and expanding my Hamilton garage is a possibility. I want something on a bracelet and am leaning towards something in the Jazzmaster line or maybe a Lord Hamilton. I do not want a cheap feeling bracelet and my nearest Hamilton dealer is a 30 minute drive out of the way of my daily life. Eventually I'll get down there to check it out, but last time I as there they didn't even have anything on a bracelet.

How do the bracelets feel? Are they hollow or solid? or does it vary from model to model?

    Re: How are Hamilton's bracelets?

Overall I'd say their bracelets are really nice and solid and I would not have any concerns buying another. Now, if Hamilton would make the links maybe .5mm thicker, tighten up the tolerances on the bush button clasp, and put some more micro adjustment holes on the clasp they would be PERFECT!

I had the bracelet version of the Khaki King. It was solid with solid end links. The clasp was really the only weakness of the bracelet. It seemed to have a little too much play in the push button clasp which caused a small amount of rattle. Also, there were only two micro adjustment holes in the clasp and I just couldn't seem to get the precise fit I wanted. The clasp had room for more holes, they just weren't there. So I took it to a local jeweler who put a few more holes in the clasp.

I currently have the bracelet version of the Khaki Navy GMT. Again, solid links with solid end links. Similar to the Khaki King the clasp only has two adjustment holes but I have not had any problems getting the fit just right. There is not as much rattle in the clasp of the Navy and it has a divers extension.

The jazzmaster bracelet with the "H" links and the butterfly clasp looks really nice and solid. From some of the pics I've seen it looks like it might even come with half links. Maybe someone that has one can confirm. The Lord Hamilton looks more like the oyster style bracelet I have on the Khaki Navy GMT, however, it has 24mm lugs so I would expect it to be more substantial than the 21mm lugs on the Navy.

My Hamilton "H" Jazzmaster bracelet is very nice. It is a solid bracelet, everything fits together nicely, no rattles. It is heavy! It probably doubled the weight of the watch and then some. It has half links. I am not familiar with micro-adjustment so I cannot speak to that. The clasp snaps nicley into place and there is hardl any play at all in the push button. That all being said, this is the nicest watch I have every owned, so I cannot compare it to many other bracelets except the fossil and diesel watches I owned. And this one is nicer than those. It does not scratch easy, but the polished side portions of the links collect smudges much easier than the brushed "H"s.

I agree with this. Sometimes you just need to adjust a bracelet a mm or 2 one way or the other.

I second that. Hamilton Conservation GMT bracelet was little bit thin. Maybe that was just because of I have Seamaster GMT with very similar style bracelet. Otherwise it was very good.

In my experience I find that the vast majority are nice and solid. I have only found one that felt like it was on the cheap side. The Khaki King quartz; light weight, thin links and mediocre finish. I own a few Hamilton's ranging from the King Scuba to the Trent which came with bracelets and are very nice.

I ordered the bracelet for my Jazzmaster Maestro but returned it as I thought the bracelet felt and looked cheap.

I too have the "H" bracelet and wish they would put micro-adjustments on it. Anyway, order it direct from Swatch and put it on yourself to save money.
