    Just ordered my first Hamilton!

Incoming is the Hamilton Khaki Mechanical. Its case diameter is 38mm and it's hand-winding. I believe this model is now discontinued, though I managed to get one grey market from Amazon. I'm very excited to own this classically styled watch, in the perfect size too.

I know it's currently stylish to make big watches, but I feel Hamilton is making a big mistake by discontinuing its 38mm models. These models are closer homages to the field watches the Khaki is based on, and Hamilton will likely come to regret this decision and bring back the smaller, more classic size, as Ray-Ban did with the Wayfarer.

Well I'm glad that I got one of these before the supply fully dried up, and I look forward to owning this watch steeped in history. Since I first became a WIS the Khaki's design has spoken to me, and I feel with the Khaki mechanical I have found the perfect balance between tradition and good looks. Perhaps I'll try my hand at reviewing when it arrives.

Here's to hoping for a swift delivery! Thanks for reading my post, and yes, I will post pictures.

Didn't realize they were doing so. I too think it will be a mistake. None the less, I just received a 38mm Khaki Field Auto last week. Lovely watch. I think you'll enjoy your purchase.

Hi: I was buying a mechanical field just today, but when I tried to hand wind it, I felt like it was not a mechanical watch.. while charging, the feeling was more like an automatic watch, then without the typical gear feeling of the mechanical hand wind..
then, I'm kindly asking to who already owns it: is it normal or a fake?
moreover, what kind of warranty should I expect? any cards or just the warranty booklet with the stamp of the shop?
last but not least: what should be the best price I may find?
    Thank you for helping!
