Is Khaki Field`s design developed by Hamilton?

    Hi guys,
I like watches with design developed by the manufacturer itself.I am reading reviews and watching photos of Hamilton Khaki Field Auto (42mm ,10atm) H70555533 these days. I need affordable, reliable, allrounder for less than 500 USD.I like Hamiltons and I feel I can be satisfied by this Khaki Field Auto for ex.But I really need to know if the Khaki Field design is created by Hamilton or not.

That is a weird question, and i'm afraid is a little bit wrong. The design is not created by other manufacturer,at this level i don't think anyone doesn't do it.
Buy anyway,it's really important if not,if the design si "unique"?

And for the price you cannot ask for a Vacheron Constantin, with in-house movement and etc.

It's about as iconic a "Hamilton" design as it gets. The design harkens back to military designs as far back as the 40's. Hamilton has produced this basic design almost continuously for decades.

I have no idea exactly when they started, but here's one from the Vietnam era..............look familiar?

MILITARY WRIST WATCH, VIETNAM ERA HAMILTON | eBay

Lot's of companies at one time or another produced the classic "militaty" design..................Hamilton is unique in that they have produced it the entire (or most of it) time. Like the Rolex sub this design has become associated with Hamilton.

Hamilton also issued watches during WWII that looked very similar.

I believe Hamilton's khaki line was the largest issued watch for the U.S. military during WWII. WWII was the reason the Khaki line was developed.
