Question about date on Hamilton Khaki ETO (Quartz)

I purchased the following watch a few weeks ago - Hamilton Watch · ETO

Love the watch very much, and appreciate the convenience of a quartz when I don't wear it everyday. Only concern is that the date takes a few hours to "turnover" every night - changeover starts at midnight, but takes until 3am or so to fully flip. During that time, it's between yesterday's date and today's date, if that makes sense.

Does anyone have experience with this? Standard behavior, or something I need to have checked out? Obviously not a big deal, since I am typically asleep at that time, but wanted to know if it's something that's intended functionality.

    Thanks.

Perfectly normal for that movement. ETA quartz movements vary from midnight date flip to slow rotation. My Omega quartz (ETA) based 1538 chages slowly from 23:00 until 02:00 and also has independent hour hand setting as I believe yours does. No worries - enjoy the watch.
