another new arrival: my first stowa!

So I received a brand new Fleiger (with logo and date) last Friday. Here's a summary of my ordering experience and some quick initial impressions of the watch:

    - placed order mid-May, estimated delivery end of July

    - received payment notification mid-July

    - Stowa e-mailed about 10 days later to inform me that there was a problem with the engraving on the back of the cases they just got in, so there would be a slight delay until after their August break

    - received shipment notice Tuesday of last week and watch was delivered on Friday

Overall I'm very happy with the service / support provided by Stowa. They were prompt to respond to any questions I had, both before and after I placed the order. Everything went more or less according to schedule, and when there was the delay at the end they were good at keeping me informed.

And I am quite impressed with the quality of the actual watch. Just a simple design that is executed extremely well on all fronts. I was worried it might be a bit small but after trying it I think it will be perfect. Also seems more versatile than I was expecting--I could see wearing it with a suit no problem. Haven't had time to use it enough yet to confirm accuracy or power reserve.

Anyway, you know what they look like, but here are a few pics (for reference, I have a 7" wrist):

Congratulations on a beauty of a watch. Stowas are among the best values out there. As you can see, very nice finish quality for the price!

Hi M.W, I've been looking at that model recently. I notice yours doesn't have the onion crown but on stowa's website that model is shown with the the onion crown and the spec says it has the onion crown. Did you request not to have the onion crown or was it supplied as standard without it? Thanks.

just mention that you want a regular crown (has a nice little Stowa logo on it) when you place your order and they will change it

Congrats! I ordered the same watch as you but my delivery date is mid Nov. I also have a 7 inch wrist and was afraid it would be too small but thanks to your pictures, I think it will look just fine. Now that I know you can replace the crown with a regular crown with the nice Stowa logo, I'm am now conflicted as to whether I should change it as well :P

Congrats to you! Now all you need is an old style black or brow strap!
I agree, the watch is very versatile! More so then a larger flieger would be, in my opinion.
