Are the Marine and Flieger currently available in ETA 2801 form?

The website only advertises them with the 2824-2 automatic movement, but I've got the impression by reading this forum that Stowa will accomodate buyers looking to get the Marine or Flieger with the 2801 movement. Is this the case? I've always thought that the 2801 only came in limited editions like the most recent Fliegers in A (black hands) and B dials.

Also, if I can order with 2801, is the caseback clear sapphire or solid steel? Is the movement decorated? How does the cost compare to the 2824? Thanks

I don't know for the Marine but I confirm that you can order a Flieger with the 2801 decorated movement, see through back. This is a very god choice
Do not hesitate to e-mail them for more details.
I ordered mine 10 days ago. Now have to wait until late april ...

Yep, you can order the Flieger with the 2801 movement by emailing stowa at info@stowa.de
You have the choice of the Flieger without logo (A Dial), or the Baumuster B (B Dial), a sapphire case back, or a solid case back.
The flieger is 690 euros, or 579 without the VAT. Add 90 euros if you want the solid caseback (but who would want to cover up a decorated movement???)

It's not directly advertised on the website, but it has the same specs as the sold out Urhen Magazin Baumuster B flieger. In the description of that watch it has the line "When this edition of the UHREN-MAGAZIN has been successfully sold out, this model will also be available in our
online-shop." It does not, to my knowledge, come with the knife or the extra strap for free.

Does it hack? It's an option to the 2801 that is easily added with an aftermarket part, bit I'm just wondering if it's already in.

The marine automatic and the flieger share the same case.I suppose a 2801 can fit to a marine automatic.However I can't tell if Stowa is offering this option.The 2801 movements are difficult to find and maybe Stowa keeps them for the flieger model that has already announced.I think only Stowa can answer this question,so you better send them an e-mail.
