    Prodiver arrived...

Starting a thread here in place of the other thread because I have questions. Watch arrived, sans box as expected. A few concerns: My crown does not screw down to the case. Picture attached. My bezel has play -- ~1/2minute in either direction. Can someone confirm how outside of normal these things are?

I gave the bezel a good twist and found there to be no play in the clockwise direction and nearly none in the counter clockwise direction.

PS On closer inspection I found there to be a very slight gap between the crown and the case.

Contrary to many peoples belief, the crown should not touch the case when screwed down properly. This is true for all normal type screw down crowns. There is a rubber gasket inside the crown that contacts the top edge of the crown tube and if the crown bottoms out on the case before the gasket is properly compressed the watch will leak. I have 12 dive watches with screw down crowns and they all stop short of the case, including my two Stowas. The small amount of play in the bezel is also normal, especially for the style of user removable bezel that Stowa uses. You can get a replacement bezel click spring but I don't think it will make any difference. Congratulations on picking up a great watch. I've had two since 2006 and 07 and both are still going strong.

Not sure why my photos rotate. Here's the glamour shot after about 3 hours trying to fit the bracelet.
