    And so the waiting begins...

After weeks of deciding whether to get a Stowa watch, then more weeks of deciding which one I should get and, finally, cutting out pieces of paper to decide which diameter would suit me best (!), I've ordered one. I've gone for the KS as, despite being a six foot three behemoth, I have very narrow wrists.

Problem is, it's a long wait until February, so... please give me some encouraging words!

Let's just say you aren't the only one waiting, if that helps

Speak to you in Feb 2011 when our watches should have arrived!

    Cheers,

    CT

Welcome in the club, you are not the only one on waiting list, be patient and for time to pass more enjoyable I would recomend buying another watch :)

I'm waiting with a pre-Christmas due date. It was very difficult thrombin the first month, but I eventually came to terms with the wait and understand it's just part of the deal! I took the time to learn a lot more about stowa and watches in general on this forum. I will now be proud to sport my MO in th next few weeks.

Bizarrely, I think the wait is part of... well, if not the fun, then the excitement of ordering a very special watch. Like I said, I chose the KS because of the size, but I'm also looking forward to owning a watch that doesn't have an ETA 2824 movement and that hasn't been mass-produced in some nameless factory. The thing that finally swung it for me, in fact, was Jorg's picture of Stowa's snowy premises. It made me think, 'now THAT'S a brand I want to be part of!'

The wait makes sense when you finally receive it... I waited 6 months for mine and the moment I opened its box it made it all worth it

Indeed. I'm currently looking for something on the used market I can flip on when the Flieger is ready.

Problem is I'm worried it'll be another Stowa and I'll end up keeping both

buy a vostok, a monster or a bunch of straps. You can flip the watches and they are different enough to not be "cheating" while you wait. Straps are cheaper, but will end up running you the same amount int he end...trust me...

Not entirely sure what I'm collecting anymore....
