Strap this Flieger for me Stowa people.

I'm very likely to pull the trigger on this one. Flieger Baumuster B - STOWA GmbH & Co.KG

It is intended to be a casual wear watch, jeans/slacks and a casual shirt.

What strap option would you go for ? I am thinking not a croco, and I believe brown is the right area to be in.

But I would be grateful for all your thoughts wristshots of your fliegers on your preferred option would be brilliant.

I actually liked this rather unusual combination of B-Dial and Zulu.



But in the end, I figured there is nothing like B-dial and "Old-style" revetted leather strap, particularly in brown (have black one too).

The old-style is great but new-style is nice as well. Brown is my favorite:

This is off-topic, but I love that first photo of the Flieger and the rangefinder—they look great together.

Any information about the camera?

It is my camera and I use it quite regularly. Body is Leica IIIf Red Dial from 1953, and the lens is Elmar 50/3.5 from 1952. I use M Leicas as well, but there is nothing like a Barnack Leica (I have a IIIa coupled with Summar 50/2 as well), and I think it's a perfect companion for the Stowa Flieger. :)

Both old and new style look great - leaning towards the old style at the moment. The effect looks exactly as I had in mind for this as a casual option. Definitely happy to choose the B dial for it.

I can always supplement with something else as regards straps later on (personally I think Stowa straps are very good value for what they are having bought a few for my Chrono 1938).

Old style brown is the only way to go for me. It was made for that watch (and the flieger A of course).

I've got both old style (in black and brown) and new style (brown). I like the old-style straps slightly better because they have more interesting stitch pattern and the metal keeper. But the new-style in brown is the best color, IMO and so it's the one I've been using most. It's a darker shade than the old-style. One other difference to note: whereas the old-style straps feel more like a nubuck grain, the new style has a "smoother" texture.

The old style straps are great, especially for the price; I have the brown and black versions. Their straps are so nicely priced, pick up a couple.
