Mini Review and Pics: Hamilton Khaki Sub H74541143

    Hi Everyone!

A mini review of my fairly new (a few months old) Hamilton Khaki Sub Blue.

    Specs:
Hamilton Khaki Navy Sub (Blue) H74541143
    Quartz movement
    Sapphire Crystal
    40mm
    Stainless Steel
    Unidirectional Bezel
    200m WR

    Pics:

The 40mm watch sits well on my 6.5" wrist, which was a concern when I bought this (got this online, and was a bit worried 40mm is too big). It wears big though, since the bezel isn't as thick as normal divers. The face of the watch is metallic blue.

There are 3 crowns, which are signed. 1 crown adjusts the date and time, while the extra 2 crowns move the inner "2nd timezone bezel" and the "timezone indicator" (dunno what to call it). All crowns are screwdown.

A closer look at the "timezone indicator" - set to Hamilton Island. The numbers on the outer bezel are cut into the metal.

There are minute notches as well on the first 15 minutes. The 12:00 position on the bezel is lumed, but is very very weak. Lume on the hands and numerals are slightly brighter but is generally out in 15 minutes.

The clasp is signed and has a divers extension.

The metal bracelet is very solid and wears very well, but is not completely flush. You can see this on the right side of the pic.

Overall, I'd have to say that this is a very very good watch. Very solidly made (I accidentally banged this against a granite countertop only to have a few very small scratches) and so far, is accurate. I love the the 3 crowned look, and although I don't use the 2nd timezone, I always get questions from people about the other 2 crowns. For the price I paid, this is a very good buy. Kudos to Hamilton for making affordable, amazing looking quality watches!

*sorry for the poor quality shots

Nice review. I recently got the one on rubber with the black face. I have small wrists too and it fits awesome! Definitely one of my favorite watches right now.
