Great thread!! +1 for sticky.
I have done a few small mods on a couple of SKX031, now i am waiting for an 007 i have bought from another forum member, aswell as the necessary parts i bought from Jake B. I was going to have 2 of my Seikos shipped to Jake to modify, but as you mentioned, with a little money invested on the necessary tools you can do the mods yourself, and its so much more satisfying!!
This was really helpfull, i´ll post some of my pics when i´m done if you dont mind.
No need to make another thread on modding since this one is very clear and complete!
Congrats and thanks.
Keep up the work.

WOW!! Great thread. I'm planning on a movement swap this weekend, so I'll have this thread printed out and right next to me!
Thanks Belokan!!
Nice step by step organized approach. And a nice result as well.
How are you able to get a larger view of the photos. When I click n the photos t
I'm taken to a website and no photo shows up?
How can you stop the movement to lift the hands? I am planning to open my BFS to possibly replace the dial or repair the deformed Seiko logo.
Check out part 3 again.
3.- Dismantling
Before starting, it's better to have the movement fully discharged, so hands should not move. Do not wear your watch for about 2 days and you should be fine with that point.
Excellent tutorial & great MOD - like it a lot!!
