Hi, I'm not really going to be of much help to you here if you haven't already decided (I see you posted this in April). I'm new to the forum but have recently gone through a lot of research into a watch purchase and for me it came down to two models - the Steinhart Triton 100 ATM Black and the Laco Squad Ninja. They really aren't compatible (one is a 1000m dive watch the other is a tactical watch with decent water resistance) and I am most certainly not a watch expert. That said I was looking for extreme durability so I chose the Triton. It has been ordered and I am awaiting its arrival as we speak. Is is quite heavy but appears to be more robustly built with a 5mm saphire crystal and very heavy duty case and strap, but then the Squad might be more comfortable on the wrist with its bowl shaped case. The long and short is that even though I've ordered the Triton I plan on buying the Laco as well but will probably have to wait until the new year and hope I can still find one. They are currenlty for sale for $598 at timequestwatches.com. This probably wasn't of much assistance to you but since my choice came down to the same two watches I thought I'd reply to your post. If you've already decided and made your purchase I'd love to know what you chose and why.
    Ian.
