    Laco questions

hello members, just to say wonderful site!
my mother asked me to look into this LACO she apparently got as a gift from my grandmother. i will attempt to provile pics.
im trying to get a handel on what she has here, the gold casing, bezel, crown...it appears very early. the casing when opened is marked LACO with what looks like a sun rising above it, half rising at least.
other identifying markings on the inside of the casing near the top in an 'OX' mark, below that clearly printed is :
    'WALZ - GOLD - DOUBLE
    20 MIKRONS
ON THE MECHANICAL SIDE HERE ARE THE MARKINGS I FOUND. 514
and that really it. its a wonderful looking watch im not sure of its jewel #. also this watch is not working the min / hr. hands adjust smoothly, and the watch winds up as if it wants to start ticking, but no dice. any ifo would be greatly appreaciated and ive been all over this interweb.
in advance to anyone THANKS SO MUCH!

    Re: Laco questions

First of all: Welcome to Watchuseek and welcome to the LACO Forum. I've moved your post. Please do not hijack threads, the thread you posted in was about WW II observer watches. According to your description yours has nothing in common with a Flieger watch.

Walz Gold = gold plated, so your case isn't made of gold.
The 514 might be an indication that this LACO is fitted with a french LORSA 514 handwinding movement, app. 12,5 x 19,0 mm, made in the early 70ties exclusively for (small) Ladies watches.

Specs here : bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Lorsa 514

Hope this will take you a step further. Pics would help to determine if I was right.

    Kind regards
    M i k e
