Laco Vintage Watch - Durowe 526 movement

I collect vintage watches and recently have taken an interest in German watches from the 1930's and 1940's.

I spotted the watch below on the swamp and took an interest in it:

The listing says it is from the 1930's. It has a Durowe 526 movement:

Is this an original Laco watch with an original dial design? Dial looks too nice to be original but may be an accurate re-dial.

    Any information appreciated.

    thanks

Movement in the pic is a LACO 526 (which equals the Durowe 410/412) which - btw - had 16 jewels, not 15 as stated by seller. The Durowe 526 had 16 jewels as well.

    Something seller should explain.

The crown in the movement pic looks different to the other two pics. Seller should explain why ?!

According to seller "Case is all Stainless Steel signed in German Edelsthl Rostsiher (correct: Edelstahl Rostsicher) with fixed lugs", iirc case should be made out of chromed brass and only the back was stainless steel. "Edelstahl Rostsicher" was to be read on the back of the Laco Sport. Seller should explain this difference as well.

Summary: An eastern europe marriage. I'd stay away.
    cuthbert and flyingpicasso like this.

    Kind regards

    thanks Mike.

I don't know much about Laco's. But I'm learning. Chaulk this up to lesson 1.

No " Made in Germany" on the dial?

Dial looks incredibly new. The caseback has been brutally refinished.
Also, the case and bezel look unusual.
