So after several years searching, I have managed to find a complete, unmolested example.


It was not a bargain, not like its younger brother, but nice examples are not easy to find.
In fact, I have only seen one previously for sale in this condition.
I will have my sister pick it up, and give it to me when we meet up in July at my Fathers 80 th birthday in the Czech Republic
I just do not trust the boys and girls at DHL or FedEx with a such rare treasure!
Not to speak about our local Customs people.

Yes, a 1940 A dial !

It will be a couple of long months, I have to keep my mind off it. I guess it has to go to Laco for a service, so I might send it to them from the Czech Rep.

In the same austion, there was a fab 1929 German Pilots watch, a Helvetia, but I missed that one.
I overslept the auction, as we were out last night with a couple of friends.
