My 42mm Laco ETA 2801-2 is running very weird..

Got this watch in Jan 2011 and have been wearing it since.. It used to be very accuarate until recently I noticed that it is running very slow.. Perhaps it was already running slow for quite sometime but i did not really test it thus missing it.. Can be up to 30 seconds slow per day.. I normally put my watch with dial facing up at night..

I did some testing and placed my watch with dial facing down to counter the inaccuracy of the movement.. It has been running for 5 1/2 days since the last time I adjusted it.. So far it did corrected the timing.. I managed to get -30 seconds after 5 1/2 days..

Does watches run faster with the dial facing down instead of dial facing up? It seems to me that both positions have minimum gravity forces on them?

I think there's something else at play here. Was the watch subjected to anything unusual, a sharp knock, water, etc...? Does the amount of wind (power reserve) affect the timing at all? Is it a daily wearer or part of a rotation of watches? I'd take it to a local watchmaker and have it looked at - lubed and regulated at the very least.

The watch is in very good condition and have not been subjected to any violent shocks or activities.. I wind it everyday at 7-8pm.. Used that watch everyday for almost a year.. Don't you it is abit too fast for the watch to require a servicing? just 1 year old?

Why don't you try to wind it regularly at different time, maybe 7-8am? I don't know whether this will affect anything, but sending to lube the watch is a good idea.

sending in for lube after 1 year will be a waste of money.. servicing in my country cost at least 150 euros.. and the watch should not require any serving just after 1 year of usage.. my tudor and rolex purchased in 2003 has never been in for servicing yet...

Do you do anything that might have exposed the watch to a strong magnetic field?

i dun recall exposing the watch to any strong magnetic field.. but magnetized watches should run faster instead of slower..
