Well Boys Finally I got my watch in the Mail, I would like to start this off by saying thank's to UWE!!! Especially for all the PM's regarding my decision.. I nearly ordered a Steinhart Nav B 44mm prior to talking to him, not that steinhart is not a great company, I love their time pieces, but I didn't feel 100% when pulling the trigger, this is when I contacted UWE by PM. He also is a fan of steinhart, but one thing steinhart doesn't have is it's mark in history as being one of the originators. Ordered the watch last Saturday, the package got lost in the mail.. I was sweating bullets all week long because it was only insured up to 200$ ( Not sure why a company would sell the watch NEW and ship it with only $200 worth of insurance) The Tracking number fell off the grid between January 31 - Feb 4... Suddenly it showed up in Atlanta last night, and was in my hands by 345PM this afternoon. I have owned several watches over the last few years, several seikos, and homage watches, but never really felt satisfied.. This is my first Real Watch. When I opened the package, the first thing I noticed was how clear the dial was.. I could not believe just how black the background was against the numbers.. Usually on most homages and american watches, it appears black in online photo's, but it has a hazy grey color. Never a true black, not with this one. The Sapphire crystal almost looks like a soap bubble it's so clear. Even though Laco Used C3 on the dial, the numbers appear white instead of an off green color, looks more along the lines of a C1 Lume... The automatic movement is so fluid, so much prettier than " SEAGULL" movements in those Homage B-Uhr's and Pam Knock off's. The Stock Strap which was equipped with it out of the box is very nice. It's more like a muddy brown color.. I think the 1940's style strap is a great strap to throw on it for casual situations. I know most of everyone on here has the brown one, which I do plan to get, but my gut was leaning on the black . One of the greatest features about this watch, is the ease of removing the pins from the lugs.. The Case is a Perfect Dark color. I think the online photo's are slightly deceiving. I do not believe it's as dark in person as it looks online. It's definitely more of a solid grey color. Though it can look PVD-ish if you're in a darker room. Overall I think the case design is sexy. I emailed corporate a few times to check on the seller to make sure this was an authentic model, and during those emails. " Diana " or " Diane ", told me the finish on the case is finger print proof. She also confirmed the new finish does not chip or scratch easily, as I've read in some other threads. ... Overall I give this watch an A+!!!! The " 42mm" Is deceiving. This watch Easily wears more like a solid 44mm.. It definitely feels bigger than my Lum-Tec Chronograph which was 44mm. Enjoy the photo's, and to anyone who is hesitating about this, I promise you wont be let down.
IM SO TICKLED PINK!
I love the last 2 shots! Thanks For reading!
