Trying to pick my first Laco

What would you recommend. I kind of like the idea of the heat treated blue hands as opposed to the painted ones but other than that right now im pretty open. I am starting to think im a type b person but the Type A isnt all that bad either. Just looking for some ideas.

Why don't you start with type B first, and then go for type A

Welcome to the Laco Forum bige610. It sounds like you've already determined that it should be a B-Uhr (Flieger).

    However, I'd start by determining:

    1. The size of watch you want
    2. The type (which will be determined by the size) - a Flieger, Marine, Classic or Special Edition for example.
    3. Then I'd decide on which movement I wanted (again, this might also be determined by your first two choices).
    4. Last, I'd worry about the type of dial - if that option exists based on your first three choices.

Thanks guys. I am trying to decide if 45mm is too big for my wrist. Im a big guy so i think i could pull it off. Im actually considering purchasing the less expensive automatic 42mm miyota movement to wear for a while to see how I like the style. I could probably sell it when i get closer to having the money to purchase the more expensive eta movement.

I've started with a Miyota before moving to an ETA. Never regretted it, and still a very happy owner with that first try. Cheers

Likewise. Actually spent a year of discovery with different watch sizes. 42-44 is ideal on my smallish wrists. If you have 7" or bigger wrists, IMO a 45mm is fine. Size is relative to all of us.

As suggested above, a miyota 'test' watch might be a good route to go down. I did.
