Why won't my Atomic G-Shock synch to the towers?

Why won't my Atomic G-Shock synch to the towers?

Best time to get the signal is between 12:00 Midnite and 5:00AM, as with any radio signal, this affords you an optimal time frame to catch the signal. It is best to have it set to receive Automatic updates so it will try every hour or 2 until it receives the time. It is also best to place your Atomic G next to an open window the way the instructions say so the building doesn't interfere with the signal.

Dont forget to set your home time zone!
The multi band casios will "listen" for radio signals depending on the home time zone setting.
    i.e.

For NYC it will check US frequency
For PAR it will check UK and DE frequencies
    .....

The time zone-radio signal depency is mentioned in the Casio watch manual.
In time zones without any radio signal in range the watch will not try to sync!

also, make sure the "antenna" is facing the window. My watch didn't synch last night because i placed it the other way

Here is a thread with a rather complete list of tips and tricks to get your watch to sync more reliably. If with all of these it still doesn't work you are most likely in an area with no reception or you have a faulty module, which I hear is rare. So not to worry.

Which direction does that mean?...Where exactly in the watch is the antenna?
