One Eversharp Fifth Avenue fountain pen & pencil set, this is the 64 model featuring solid 14K gold cap, blind cap, lever & cap clutch ring. This set also features the uncommon 6?4 cap engravings.
This would be NOS or mint in box if it were not for the cap engravings and aging issues with the hood.
The $40 price sticker is still attached to the pen, the pencil has no sticker.
The hood has developed a crack over the years shown in the photos, likely due to shrinkage of the hood, I have not replaced the hood in order to preserve the original state of the set but will supply a spare hood from another 64 in the same colour and with no cracks - see photos.
The set has never been used, the pencil lead has a sharp new edge and the eraser looks brand new, the pen has never been inked.
Both caps are tastefully engraved - M.J. Wargovich 1945
The original ink sack is still pliable and depresses and expands.
The colour looks dark in the photos, it was hard to capture the true likeness of the colour which is actually more blue than the photos show.
The original instructions are in perfect condition, as is the box.
The nib appears to be 14k medium
