Sheaffer Balance Valiant SKYBOY 1941

One 1941 Sheaffer Valiant in marine green striated celluloid. The Valiant is Sheaffers largest Military-Clipped Balance model and this uncommon to rare variant was aimed at the US Airforce - SKYBOY stamped into the clip.
The barrel stamp is clear with the 1000 price stamp (original price $10.00).

The condition is excellent, no brassing or dents to the clip or cap band, minor edge wear the the lever.
This pen has been fully disassembled, cleaned and put back together and stored without an ink sack attached. I only put ink sacks into pens I intend to use therefore the section is only push fitted into the barrel leaving the pen ready for ink sack installation and section shellacking if intended to use.

The section ink-vue is clear and has a fine nib.
