    Question ALS Info

    Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum but not new to fine timepieces.
Although my collection has recently started (Breitling Bentley GT).

I'm looking at the Lange Datograph or the Lange 1 Timezone. Both watches are beautiful and I'm going to be seeing them in person within the next two weeks.

My only reservation is with the Datograph and how it only comes with a black face. My question for some of the more experienced horologists here is, what are the odds that Lange will release a Datograph with a white face?
Is it something worth waiting for, or should I not hold my breathe?

    Thanks!

Well, there's the Datograph Perpetual, 410.025. It's a white face.

Yeah I saw that and its gorgeous (the grey face is equally as impressive) but $100k+ is a bit much to be spending on a watch IMO. I'd rather buy an exotic sports car with that money

So i guess no one here really knows if a white face datograph (up/down) is a possibility worth waiting for.

The 1815 Chronograph is a wonderful alternative. It has no big date though.

This is my Datograph with a lighter face. I assume you want the metal to be platinum though otherwise why does this completely miss the brief?

    Very nice timepiece!
I'm actually set on the 2011-12 re-release of the datograph with the slightly larger face 41mm vs 39mm and without the roman numerals.
the re-release currently is only available in the black face. I know the last datograph version was avaialbe in the white face (like your beautiful watch), hence im asking if anyone thinks this new version will also be released in the whiteface? maybe as a 2012/13 Datograph ????

It would probably be worthwhile to ask a trusted dealer that carries ALS or even try to inquire directly with ALS. I would expect their communication to be prompt and professional. Good luck.

Wow not sure why I didnt think of that... Thanks!
Just went to their website and sent them an email... Lets see if they get back to me and what kind of customer service they provide.

Well Lange got back to me and here is there response for anyone that had a similar question:

Thank you very much for your interest in A. Lange & Söhne and please excuse our late reply. We will surely think about other variations of the DATOGRAPH UP/DOWN and therefore forward your inquiry to our product development, but are not allowed to give any information about our future plans.

Thank you very much for your comprehension.

    Yours sincerely,

    Lange Internet team
