F. P. Journe Vagabondage II

I live in Chicago and have been wanting to check out Swiss fine Timing as they one one of the few shops to carry F.P. Journe.

Today I was down town for a meeting and I headed over there for a visit.

The place is totally the rich guy's toy store (in a good way).

The Agent I worked with was super helpful, informative and had a relaxed approach.

He had some very positive comments about my Grand Seiko (SBGM023) and mentioned that I was only the second person to come in wearing a GS (the other person had a spring drive).

I have not seen F. P. Journe watches in the flesh before and came away very impressed.

The one that I was fixated upon was the Vagabondage II.

They had a rose gold version in stock.

I took the opportunity to try it on and found it to be well designed and beautifully finished (huge understatements).

The Journe movements are truly a sight to behold. The Vagabondage II is a bit too rich for my blood, but I was quite taken with the Chronometre Bleu which seems like an exceptional bargain to boot.
