I'd go IWC, mine says Hi
Not fond of the open dial and if i had to pick a G.O i'd choose the senator perpetual calendar as shown below (in fact i might probably add this one to my collection at a certain point).

My vote goes to the GO. I used to own an older cal. 39 Pano-Date Moonphase and it would incredible.
Glashutte, of course!
Ciao!
Spain
.............................my thoughts on your dilemma is that I envy you for having one.......................that aside, its a toss between the Glashutte and IWC.......................the Glashutte has a resemblance to an ALS that is one of my grails so it drops a notch while the 5001 has the 7 day PR which I love so I think it wins by a hairline in my books (just my thoughts).....................good luck!

I, too, am currently debating on the GO Panomatic Lunar XL (S/S model) and the IWC Portuguese 7-Day (S/S model but silvered dial and blue applied markers). Several thoughts that I have had so far:
1) I have not had the fortune of handling that particular GO you are considering, but I have handled other models from the Panomatic and Panomatic XL line. They are fantastically finished and the quality is at least on par, if not better than the IWC IMHO.
2) The IWC portuguese 7-day has some issues with its accuracy. You can forum search this for more details.
3) For me, I want a watch that is appropriate for office/dress-shirt days, and jean-and-T-shirt days. Unfortunately, because I have not handled the grey-galvanized Panomatic Lunar XL, I am unsure if it is casual enough for my tastes; the grey dial and black leather strap, however, do have some inherent "dressiness". On the other hand, the IWC with silvered dial and blue applied markers does fill both dressy and casual roles.
All said, both watches come from well-respected brand, are well sized, and are timeless in terms of design. You can't go wrong with either of them!
I decided on the GO but have not yet pulled the trigger. Just to clarify above though, the GO comes on a beautiful gray strap which has a slightly worn look to it and IMO fantastic for a 'casual' look. The strap is awesome. My only concern on the watch (also not seeing it in person) with respect to pulling it off casually are the white gold finishes hands as they certainly will have a flash to them but multiple people have told me the watch goes beautifully with jeans and a t-shirt.

If the IWCs size and crown dosen't bother you I say the IWC
but it is a hard one because the GO is also a beautiful watch
If it is all dress I will say GO
more allround IWC![]()
It's just a watch
As pretty as the GO is, between 25 and 35 one can't tell the time to the minute (unless I'm missing something), and that would be a problem for me. As for the Zenith, the opened up dial shows nothing of intrigue. So IWC for me.

Me too IWC but that one: Portuguese Rose Gold.
