Hello Everyone,
I have been a longtime reader but did not registered until recently.
I am thinking about buying a nice timepiece that will serve as a conversation piece for when I am discussing business (real estate, construction) as well as reflect my "success". My clientele are primarily the very wealthy. My first Love was IWC Portugese, but then GO won me over. Over the las month it's just been a royal rumble with no winner. That's why I turn to the extraordinary people at watchuseek. Almost Everything I have read here has greatly.
I have a limited budget of around $8,000 and I am looking at some gray market websites for my purchase. But I will give an AD to match the price and/or value before I make a final purchase.
I do not like Rolex as it's predictable of New Money or posing. Same with Tag (except the Monaco) and to an extent Breitling. I do not have the $$ for a Breguet or anything that level, but even if I did, I think I would wait until my lifestyle reflects those timepieces.
The timepieces that are in the running are:
Glashutte Original Senator Observer XL
IWC Portugese Yach Club
Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 44mm
Zenith El Primero Striking 10th
Cartier Calibre de mens watch
If you have any suggestions that I have not considered, feel free to suggest. The qualifications are 42-44 mm diameter (I am 6'2" and athletic build) not too "artistic".
Looking forward to your feedback.
