Traditional values: Hysek IO Grande Classique 43mm automatic

A more usual offering from cutting edge Swiss watchmaker Jorg Hysek is the likes of the avant garde Furtiv Skeleton Tourbillon, the Kilada XX-Ray Double Tourbillon or the Abyss diving chronograph. But with the IO collection, the Manufacture seeks to underline its watch making prowess by more traditional means, without sacrificing any of its quality or design creativity.

The new IO Grande Classique is sober, refined and discreet. In this new model the dial is classic while the case is elegantly thin. The watch features meticulous work on the flange, subtly underlining the minute track, with uniquely styled indexes. Running on the silvery and sun brushed dial, the hour and the minute hands are highlighted with a touch of black, so as to echo to the alligator strap.

Thanks for the post Michael. It really would be useful to know what this watch will retail for in order to benchmark it against things like the Calatrava, Patrimony, Saxonia and Classique. Other than being 43mm I can't see what else is appealing about this watch in comparison to its more revered peers - unless like I say - the price is magnificent.

Dress watch at 43mm? I don't think so.

Hi, like so many high-end watches, there is no word on price, if I have a price I will always supply it. Even the specs are a little thin on the ground.
