Blue dial watches seem to me one of the most versatile watches on the market. It showcases a phenomenal balance between casual and classy at the same time.
Here are my top 2 :
1) A Lange 1815 (36mm, manual wind, 45hr power reserve)
If this watch didn't have the 6 cut off by the subdial, it would've been IMO one of the best looking watches. I believe it now discontinued by A. Lange.
2) Ulysse Nardin Classico (40mm, self-winding with 48h power reserve) :
3 ATM should still be fine for any place the watch is intended to go I'd think. Though it may be lower than the competition. (For instance, my PML is 5 ATM, though 3 would be fine for it IME.)
I actually like that the numbers are shrunk. But do like that the numbers are radially arranged around the movement and not flipped. All part of why I choose this as my favorite blue dial as well as favorite watch. Just waiting to get mine.
The current favourite blue dial in my collection: the Bernhard Lederer BLU Planet Paris. Incredible contrast between the planetary subdial and the rotating watch face with Clous de Paris. Seeing the Clous from different angles throughout the day is pretty incredible.
Is there anyone who has seen both the FP Journe CB blue and the Glashutte Original blue side by side and able to describe the differences, or even better, have pictures?
GO has a lot of blue faced watches. None of them can compare with the beauty of the CB.
