Blue dial watches seem to me one of the most versatile watches on the market. It showcases a phenomenal balance between casual and classy at the same time.
Here are my top 2 :
1) A Lange 1815 (36mm, manual wind, 45hr power reserve)
If this watch didn't have the 6 cut off by the subdial, it would've been IMO one of the best looking watches. I believe it now discontinued by A. Lange.
2) Ulysse Nardin Classico (40mm, self-winding with 48h power reserve) :
#1 PP Only Watch 2015...a fuhgetaboutit piece because some Sheik or Prince or Emir will drop crazy money on it in 3 months and it'll be locked up & become a phantom...
#2 JLC object of beauty...saw this at a boutique and it was magnificent. Don't normally care for skeletons but JLC hit this one out of the park! This one will be a long long chase...
Hard to pick a favorite and some might argue if this one is high end enough, but I am head over heels for it. It must be seen in person to be appreciated
I have to support Amine on this one. I really love this watch. However if we just look at the blue itself--- not considering the watch-- the new Rolex Deepsea Blue is just amazing. I got to see one of these (from a board member) and it is just absolutely amazing. I am not a big Rolex fan but the blue gradient used to make this dial is just stunning.
I also like this limited edition AP--- the blue accents make this watch.
Dislike date modules, do not like cyclops, not a fan of PCL's but I cannot resist this blue dial so will probably end up buying this dang thing sooner or later . . .
Still do not know how to load a photo; but I find this Patek Jumbo Ellipse in white gold incredibly elegant, the white gold bracelet setting off the exquisite blue of the face.
I love this watch but is/was there any variant of this size which has a seconds hand? 39mm would be the ideal size of the Royal Oak for me but I feel that I would miss the seconds hand. It seems odd that the 37 and 41mm versions would have this but not the 39.
