    Black Forest wood plate movement

    Hi guys,

I picked up a cool black forest clock at a flea market last week (some "before" pics):

I just finished cleaning the movement and case (glued the broken part of the "XII" back on):

What I need to know is what type and weight the weights need to be? I put some small one day (320s) on it but it won't run. I went with the heavier one day weights that go on my large American cuckoo clock and it will run but they just seem WAY too heavy...strikes real fast. Could someone give me an idea of what type of weights this should have? It cleaned up great and I can't wait to get it running!

One more thing, does anyone have a good idea of when this may have been made?

    Thanks,
    Ron

Nice clock! I'd post on mb.nawcc.org 's website. Much more traffic and better info there on clocks
