    Yes, it has been the coolest clock in the world since it's public debut in 2008.

    To me this is true horology; the art of making clocks and watches. But better yet, they were able to make a clock a work of art.

    Can anyone think of a clock made since 2008 that is this impressive or interesting? Something semi-modern? If so please post a link/thread as I am incredibly inspired to make something like this.

    Having read the gamut of Youtube comments, I'm afraid I'm in the "hideously ugly" camp. If the automaton actually powered the movement, maybe slightly cool ... but as a non-connected dummy pretending to operate the clock, really not cool. Not even close.

    I didn't think there was anyplace less imaginative than the watch forum. I was wrong. It's the clock forum...

    Looks like I'll have to make the new coolest clock in the world myself.
