    digital LED alarm clock

Looking for a bedside alarm clock recommendation. I want a lighted clock, no alarm / radio required, ac powered. Just a sharp looking digital clock that I can instantly read on the nightstand and keeps decent time. No fancy styles, just a rectangle, low height (no cubes) shell. The smaller the better, and battery back up is a plus.

A couple of candidates, but they are kind of big for my needs:

    RCA RCP100

    Amazon.com: RCA RPC100 - Clock radio - display: 1.4": Electronics: Reviews, Prices & more

    Sony ICF-C414

    Amazon.com: RCA RPC100 - Clock radio - display: 1.4": Electronics: Reviews, Prices & more

edit: meant to post this in the public forum, but I had to rush because this forum has become almost unviewable to my system (not dialup). routinely locks up w / a couple blue screens of death...

Your local Target will have just the thing.

Walmart has several reasonably sized moderately priced LED style clocks. Also check your local Radio Shack for what is a very common style of clock.

I got the Sony ICF-C218 and it's working out perfectly.

Radio works great as an alarm, sound is tinney, but listenable and as an alarm who cares. Haven't seen the auto-DST yet, some confused reveiwers in the amazon link. Very easy to set the time to the second, one guy had problems and must have been operator error. Display color I like, and brightness is a non-issue to me - I only need to see it when it's dark.
