Well I really Like Antiques , Ya know....

Ran across an old Regulator Clock dial and since I have no other antique clock parts and watches are more my thing I decided to fix it up so I can use it at my desk.
I stuck a new Quartz movement and hands on it and put it up on a plate easel :)
Here is a photo of it on my desk with some other relics (the old shoe peg cigar box contains my collection of vintage Bulova's)
    Whatcha think?

Very trick. Has a nice patina and looks great with the other collectibles around it. Nice job.

Thanks much :) I have a sort of 19th Century theme going on on top of my desk and thought the clock dial would suit it.
No maker's mark anywhere on the dial that I can find.

That's a really nice display. I'd like to get some old World War ll era clocks and chronometers but they sure are expensive.

According to the guy I got it from and from my watchmaker it is late 19th Century.

What a great way to use a dial that would otherwise sit in a box somewhere. Looks good!

Thanks :) I looked at it as a way to save a part they may have never been used....plus it looks nice in my den and keeps accurate time now.
