Any info on Meister watches?

I recently discovered this new brand of watches that look great. On google i seen a lot of celebrities sporting them. I personally never heard of this brand but want to learn some more about it.

I think they've become popular because of how chunky they are. I've seen a few in person, and tried it on...didn't think it was anything special. Price was also high, there are a ton of better watches (fashion or not) that you can get that are better.
