Gift Give me some advice on a watch

Hi all, im new to this Forum and am seeking some advice on a watch... (hopefully I'm in the right place)
Im 18, and don't exactly know a great deal, so I'd like peoples opinions on brands and if there are any things to steer clear of.
I've got a few watches, mainly cheaper 'budget' things, as well as a nice Fossil.
I am however after something else which i could wear on a daily basis with the few to it lasting a good while. Being the age i am, i like a watch to stand out a little, whilst not being too outragous! I have a budget of about £250 and generally like metal bracelet straps.
Ive spent hours looking all over the web to find stuff i like but have no idea as to whether it is reliable; including an Armani ar 1414 on a site Armaniwatchesonsale.com and ebay.com i really like the look of ... I really like that its completely black, it has a ceramic bracelet, and the skeleton looks amazing. I believe the movement is Japanese (although I could be wrong). The reason why I haven't purchased it yet is because i don't know its quality and longevity. I've been trying to look for reviews on the ar1414, but there are none. Then I researched reviews on Armani watches in general and I found mixed reviews.
Ive also looked at some of Bulova 98a108. I love everything about this watch except for one thing... I hate the two silver lines across the bracelet. In my opinion it looks too flashy and that I would only be able to wear it for special occasions. Which is why I will not buy it.
If i could get some feedback from you who have experience with some nice brands of watches it would be very much appreciated!
    Cheers

For watches that are cheap but reliable and really worth what you paid for them you can't go wrong with Seiko. Their dive watches are very well made and affordable. I have a few myself and enjoy wearing them as much as my more expensive watches. Definitely worth a look.
