Looking for a RED METAL watch

    Hi, all,

On other members' advice, I've cross-posted this here from the Affordable Watches sub-forum:

I've always liked watches, but never been able to afford what seemed like a useless luxury. Lately I've convinced myself that I can afford <$300 watches, as they're one of the only ways a man can accessorise (particularly as I'm not the necklace or ring type). At any rate, this isn't about my watch needs.

My brother's graduating college shortly, and he's always wanted a red watch. Not a $40 Swatch, not an Ice Watch. He'd ideally like something with a metal bracelet band. I have looked high and low and cannot find anything like this. The vast majority metal bracelet bands out there plain stainless. Some have a gold tone painted on. A select few have had black applied via various processes (why black but no red?!). But I cannot, for the life of me, find any RED watches out there, with red metal bands.

I was hoping that the WUS community could help me out. Have you ever seen such a watch?

The only one I've found so far is FOSSIL® Watch Collections Stella: Stella Aluminum and Stainless Steel Watch

I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a men's watch with a red metal bracelet. You know the one you posted is a women's watch, right?

Why not settle for the next best thing which would be a watch with red accents, such as a red dial or red bezel.

go on the bay and fine a nice, reliable, forever keeps its value, go anywhere, Seiko with a red dial. i guarantee your brother will tire or hate his all red watch very quickly. graduating from college means going out into the real world and a clowns watch is not the thing. stainless bracelets are popular because they look good i.e.-professional, and keep your watch on your wrist with little worry about it coming off. besides, a good watch can always go on different straps like a colored NATO or leather. spend your money on the watch itself. let the band/bracelet change as your brothers tastes and req's do. good luck.
