    TW-Steel LIKE watches

    Dear All

Thank you for taking the time to read my post I do appreciate it. I was shopping around for a new watch and one brand in particular caught my attention and that was TW STEEL, It is everything I want in a watch. It is large in size, has a robust feel to it and has this industrial design with a silicon/resin strap (preferred over stainless steel). Now what is stopping me from going out to buy one is that the models that I am most interested in are way out of budget. For example this model here:
TW Steel Gents Watch Diver TW-92: Amazon.co.uk: Watches

The Diver TW 92 model, I would buy that in a heartbeat if I had the money for it. Now my main question is where can I find a brand (not a cheap knock-off or replica) that has the same features but obviously less well-made at around the £100 price range or even slightly higher/lower depending on the quality? Or any brand that makes large watches but is relatively cheap. I would really appreciate any replies related to this topic. Thank you

    Re: TW-Steel LIKE watches

    Hi Osiris,

I've got a TW Steel TW621 (50mm Icon in white). It's the bog-entry model but I've been delighted with it's solidity and quality. The more expensive TW Steel's make less sense to me, but the TW92 you've fallen for is a beauty.

I believe Fossil make some humongous fashion watches, though I personally hate their designs, most of which look fussy and childish to me. If the cheaper TW Steels don't appeal - my Icon retails for £200 but I reckon you could get a reasonable discount - might I suggest Casio's Edifice range.

I've handled Edifices and they're very nicely made for the money. The EQW-500BE-1AVER is on Amazon for £150 at the moment.

Casio EQW-500BE-1AVER Radio Controlled Resin Strap Analogue Watch: Casio: Amazon.co.uk: Watches

It's got a resin strap, bronze case, chrono, radio controlled - a lot of watch for the money. At 46mm, it ain't small either.

Best alternative I could come up with. Happy Hunting.

Invicta has a few oversized <$200 ones that look a bit like the TW Steel. Among others:
