Not a bad looking watch. If you take care of it, it should last for a few decades..
It really depends on how you treat the watch - even a $20 budget watch can last a few years if you treat it right. Conversely, if you have a Rolex or a Patek and aren't careful, or worse, abuse it, the life of the watch will be much much shorter.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but fossil has a 11 year warranty. You can basically knock the watch around quite a bit and send it in for 38 bucks; they will replace everything it needs.

I have a few Fossil watches, and I don't baby them at all; I did put a glass protector on one to protect it from scratches, but that's about it. The ones I have are chronos, rated to 10 atm, and have taken a beating without any problems so far. I've worn them while biking and shooting, and at the end of the day I toss them in the bin with my keys and wallet. So far, so good.

For the price they make good watches...they can definitely last for decades it cared for properly. The chronograph in question looks pretty cool.
Just thought I'd add to this... wore mine yesterday at a CAFS (firefighting foam, it's a surfactant that allows the water to penetrate better) drill and again at a brushfire. Both times I hit the watch from the side with my 1.5" line, just to see if it would hold up. Watch still works, no water inside! Good enough for me...
