CASIO INTRODUCES FIRST-EVER SOLAR ATOMIC BABY-G
New Slim Marine Model Offers Tough Solar Power and Atomic Timekeeping

DOVER, NJ, MARCH 2, 2009 – The temperature is bound to rise and when it does, women will need the ultimate watch for their spring and summer rendezvous. That is where the cool yet chic Slim Marine model comes into play and for the first time, it features Solar Atomic Technology. Casio America, Inc. is proud to welcome the first-ever Solar Atomic Slim Marine watch to the line of popular Baby-G watches.

Perfect for an adventure-seeking woman who is heading on an expedition or a beach bound femme who is worshipping the sun, this watch is versatile, functional and flirty. The BGR3000J combines a dash of style with a splash of technology to make an attractive watch to embody your summer style.

Baby-G now incorporates Solar Atomic Technology which is already wildly popular in Casio’s men’s collections. Solar technology allows for long battery life by generating electrical power from sunlight, while Multi-Band 5 Atomic Timekeeping provides accurate time by receiving time calibration radio signals from up to 5 transmitters worldwide, so the jet-setting woman can count on being on time for every gathering.

Water resistant up to 200 meters, the Solar Atomic Slim Marine is prepared for any adventure on land or on the water. The timepiece comes equipped with all of the state-of-the-art functions expected from a Baby-G, including shock resistance, world time for 48 cities, four daily alarms, countdown timer and full auto-calendar.

“We’re very excited to welcome this new addition to the Baby-G line, featuring Solar Atomic Technology,” said Shigenori Itoh, Vice President of Casio’s Timepiece Division. “Solar Atomic Technology is a very important function and we are thrilled to incorporate it into the Baby-G Slim Marine model.”

The Solar Atomic Slim Marine features “chaton” protectors on the case bezel as well as a glossy resin band that is molded to look like metal links. The Baby-G comes in black (BGR3000J-1) and white (BGR3000J-7) with a gold accent surrounding the face. Both models will be available at select Macy’s stores nationwide this spring, with an MSRP of $130.
