Orient Cosmos - Inquiries to Orient = no response

I am shopping around and love the look of the Orient Cosmos with the white dial. I am most interested in the one with the markers and not the numerals...problem is...it comes on a steel bracelet. The other comes on leather which I think would look great on the other style.

I sent several emails as well as using the contact form to OrientUSA (mark was one of them) to ask if it would be possible to replace the bracelet with the leather...no response.

Any suggestions? Right now, I am taking a pass on Orient and trying to find something that is similar. Also, with the 30% off it is still more expensive than other places.

I would buy it with the bracelet, when it arrives immediately and carefully remove the bracelet and end links, store them in a ziplock bag and put them in a safe place, then install the leather strap of your choice. The leather strap you choose will almost certainly be better than the leather strap Orient would supply (if they were willing to custom order, which it doesn't seem they are willing to do), and if you ever get tired of the watch, it will be much easier to sell with a pristine bracelet than a worn out leather strap.

+1 I think this is your best bet. The if it is not a standard option, the only way they would do it is to add in an additional band. If you do it yourself you can pick what you want and this will give you may more choices.

I agree that OWUSA prices can now be beat in other places, especially with then are on sale. Occasionally they can be found on sale near or even below 50% off.

Also, I like the Cosmos, but I prefer the SFD0E002W0. And it comes with a black leather strap.

So...could anyone recommend a leather strap for this one? I am thinking black would look sweet. Thoughts?

A nice dark brown crocodile leather strap would go well with that one..

Best place for straps? Affordable? I have had good luck with Panatime for NATO straps but have not bought leather there. Thoughts?

Try Crown and Buckle. They will help with the choices as well. Great straps and customer service.

Not the exact same watch, but here's a picture of my CFD0E001 on a brown alligator strap. They do have the same model that comes with the brown leather strap, but I couldn't find one in stock, so I bought the bracelet model and swapped it myself. Not the best picture, but it might give you an idea of what yours will look like. The strap is Hadley Roma, semi-matte, genuine alligator. The only reason I didn't opt for a black strap is because I already have a watch with black leather, and I was looking for something that would go with brown. Black should also look nice
